Here reference to ecvpt.org, the 'European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology equates to ECVPT. 

Service

This service is provided to USERS who agree to abide by the terms of use. The web site and its pages may be used for professional use only by strictly bone fide veterinarians. Business (commercial) users other than bone fide members of European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology must obtain written consent from ecvpt.org. before use.

Any user who breaks this agreement may have their use cancelled at any time, at ecvpt.org sole discretion. The user may be permanently banned from using the ecvpt.org website. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ecvpt.org for any loss, liability, and damage arising from or in connection with the contents or service of any ecvpt.org web service.

The ECVPT and affiliate websites, organisations and subsidiaries are not responsible for the quality of service or products of third parties. You are reminded, medical procedures and outcome thereof, medical equipment and paraphernalia, animal health and welfare, promises insurance and assurances remain the responsibility of the pet(s) owner(s) and/or veterinary practitioner(s) as applicable.

Online Conduct

You are entirely responsible and liable for all of your activities, conduct etc. on and at ecvpt.org. You will not post on, from or through the service, or transmit to other users of the service, any material that infringes or violates another party's intellectual property rights (including another party's copyrights, trademark rights or trade secret rights) or rights of privacy, publicity or personality.

Site Monitoring

ecvpt.org reserves the right without obligation or responsibility, to monitor the materials posted on the ecvpt.org web site and pages. ecvpt.org reserves the right to remove or modify any such material that at, ecvpt.org sole discretion, violates, or may violate, any third party right, applicable law or this agreement. You remain solely responsible for the content of the materials you post in any area of the service and your private email messages should such services be available to you. Users are responsible for all content submitted to ecvpt.org and will be held legally accountable when necessary. ecvpt.org reserve the right to make amendments or modifications to any material posted, incorporated into other documents or records as fits ecvpt.org requirements.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to do any of the following:

Copy any software or content provided to you by ecvpt.org. Copying and placement of prepared promotional material such as link graphics, press releases and other specific promotional items is acceptable.
Translate any software or content provided to you by ecvpt.org.
Merge any software or content provided to you by ecvpt.org with another program or modify any software or content provided to you by ecvpt.org.
Reverse-engineer, disassemble, decompile, or make any attempt to discover the source code underlying the services offered by or in connection with ecvpt.org.

Right to Refuse Service

ECVPT, the ecvpt.org website reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, for any reason and without prior notice.

Prohibited Material

This includes but is not limited to the following:

No profanity, or harassment
No hate or racist propaganda
No illegal activity under any law
No nudity or pornographic material
No material that violates or infringes third party rights.
Any material which ecvpt.org deems inappropriate, at its sole discretion. If your use contains any of the above material, you may not use ecvpt.org.
If you violate the terms of use, and place prohibited material on at ecvpt.org web page anyway, your use will be subject to deletion without notice and possible banning from the service. If you think material you use may be questionable, email the Editor or administrator of the specific ECVPT website (using our online email form) for a review before using the service.

You must verify the validity of third-party information, services or products sourced at ecvpt.org or partners and affiliates including advice offered in chat rooms, via email or posted directly to any web pages etc. ecvpt.org accepts no liability for the conduct of third parties or for losses incurred from contact with such third parties.

Modifications

ecvpt.org reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service, or any portion of the service, with or without notice to you, and shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any consequences arising from such modification or discontinuation.

Ownership

ecvpt.org retains ownership and all rights to ecvpt.org and ecvpt.org name, logo's, software, media products such as databases, reports, web site, downloaded material and all information.

Copyright Policy

ecvpt.org respects the intellectual property rights of others, and we ask our users to respect those rights as well. You should not breach existing or claimed property rights when using ecvpt.org. You should not copy & paste or re-key printed material elements of copy written material for publication at ecvpt.org. ecvpt.org use promotional material such as packaging/record/video sleeve art etc in a 'fair usage' context, respective copyrights apply.

Cancellation

Either you or ecvpt.org may cancel your use and access to the service at any time for any reason, or for no reason. You may cancel your use by stopping the use of the service and it's web pages. All original material added to ecvpt.org listings become the property of ecvpt.org. Donations and offerings made to the ecvpt.org website, ecvpt.org are the property of ecvpt.org.

You agree and understand that you are using the service and this web site at your own risk. What is personal data?

Personal data is any information that identifies you as an individual.

Who will process my personal data?

Personal data will be processed by the ECVPT.  Information is shared between group members in order to help members and provide services however your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

You may update any personal information kept by the ECVPT at any time by logging in to https://www.ecvpt.org

You also have the right to ask us to correct any inaccurate personal information we hold about you or to delete personal information by contacting the college administration directly.

What is the purpose and legal basis for processing your personal data?

Your personal information will be used in the following ways:

  • by the association to administer your membership status, credentials, and all further information pertinent to maintenance of the association and its individual members. 

  • by the association to contact you for important information regarding your member status

  • to communicate effectively with you by post, email and phone, including the distribution of relevant newsletters and information.

  • to compile statistics and conduct surveys and research for internal and statutory reporting purposes. For these purposes, your data will be anonymised.

  • to deliver services to you

We consider the processing of your personal information for these purposes to be either necessary for the performance of our obligations with you (e.g. to manage your specialist status), necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, or necessary for the performance of tasks we carry out in the public interest (e.g. non-statutory reporting or research). We require you to provide us with any information we reasonably ask for to enable us to administer your member status. If we require your consent for any specific use of your personal information, we will collect it at the appropriate time and you can withdraw this at any time. We will not use your personal information to carry out any wholly automated decision-making that affects you.

What personal information will be processed?

The College will keep a record of:

  • Your name, nationality, current contact details, qualifications

  • Credentials

  • Certification or re-certification documentation and any supporting documents if requested

  • Information including photographs and position within committees if appropriate

Technical information specific to members includes:

  • For members details such as AGM attendance, committee membership, external organisation membership.

  • Details such as Veterinary School, Graduation and Internship details, Country of Residency, and current employment.

  • In all cases important dates such as accreditation may apply. Some information is covered by financial legislation.

  • Public correspondence may result in name, phone, email being stored briefly on college systems while administrators process the query. 

How will personal information be processed?

Your personal information is created, stored and transmitted securely in a variety of paper and electronic formats, including some databases that are shared between the EBVS. Access to your personal information is limited to ECVPT staff and authorised agents who have a legitimate interest in it for the purpose of carrying out their duties.

How long will personal information be stored?

Your data will be stored for as long as you are member of the association. When you leave the ECVPT, or no longer require the services of the ECVPT you can opt to store only basic data (e.g. name and title). Data will be kept for 5 years after you have left the college.
